Check before renting

For clear answers about devices, payments and connections,
let’s start with the facts.

ViewMini offers Apple Silicon cloud Macs for teams that need remote development and build environments. This guide answers common questions before you order, from choosing a device to getting started.

Review the devices and regions, then check the exact USD prices for all four rental terms on the plans page. Availability is confirmed in real time by the console.

01 / Choose a device

What am I renting?

Start by checking the device type, base configuration and region. There are three base models; storage upgrades are add-ons, not separate models.

Is this a virtual machine?

No. ViewMini provides cloud Macs powered by Apple Silicon. Each is a dedicated physical machine, not a virtual machine. “Dedicated” means you use the assigned physical node during your rental, rather than sharing compute resources on a virtualized host with other customers.

Still, device type and project compatibility are separate considerations: a dedicated physical machine won’t necessarily run every project out of the box. For Xcode, build scripts or other toolchains, check your project dependencies and the rented device’s actual system environment.

Which models are available?

The available base configurations are listed below. All three are Mac mini models: M4 Core and M4 Plus use M4, while M4 Pro uses M4 Pro. Check memory and base storage together rather than choosing by chip name alone.

ViewMini M4 Core

Mac mini M4 · 16GB RAM · 256GB SSD

A good starting point for testing toolchains and running lighter development and build tasks.

ViewMini M4 Plus

Mac mini M4 · 24GB RAM · 512GB SSD

More memory and local storage for everyday development, multiple dependencies and ongoing builds.

ViewMini M4 Pro

Mac mini M4 Pro · 64GB RAM · 2TB SSD

Consider it for larger build workspaces or model experiments on Apple Silicon; suitability depends on your workload.

These use cases are a starting point for choosing a model, not a promise of build speed or model capacity. Check the specs against your project’s peak memory use, dependency footprint and artifact size. Prices for all four rental terms are on the plans page.

Where are the physical nodes?

The current catalogue includes 5 regions: Singapore, Japan (Tokyo), South Korea (Seoul), Hong Kong and the eastern United States. All three base models are listed in all five regions. Check real-time availability in the console when configuring your order.

  • SGSingapore
  • JPJapan (Tokyo)
  • KRSouth Korea (Seoul)
  • HKHong Kong
  • US-EEastern United States

If your workflow depends on connecting to a code repository, transferring build artifacts or using CI, test network routes based on your team’s and dependent services’ actual locations. A region name is not a latency guarantee.

02 / Choose a rental term

How do pricing and payments work?

Check the model, rental term and add-ons separately. All prices on the site are in USD; your order confirmation shows the final configuration.

How long can I rent for?

Choose a rental term of day, week, month or quarter. Each term has its own price, so don’t multiply the daily rate by the number of days to estimate another term. For short-term environment testing, consider a day or week. For ongoing development or scheduled builds, compare monthly and quarterly options. Choose based on how long you’ll actually need the machine, not just the starting price of a term.

Prices for all four rental terms, for each model and add-on, are listed on the models and pricing page. Before ordering, estimate when your project will finish, how often you’ll build, and whether you need to keep a workspace on the device for an extended period. Then confirm the rental term and total at checkout.

Which payment methods are accepted?

All orders are billed in USD . Payment is accepted via USDT-TRC20 and Visa / Mastercard / Amex processed by Stripe. The payment options available at checkout are determined by the response from the backend.

Before paying, double-check the model, region, rental term and add-ons in your order. For payment status on an existing order, sign in to the console and check your order history. If you need help, submit a support ticket through the console with your order details. Don’t post payment credentials on public pages.

03 / Get started

What can I manage after connecting?

Connection details are specific to your order and aren’t shared in public FAQs. Verify the device’s identity first, then set up your toolchain and storage as needed.

How do I connect to the device and manage my order?

After ordering, sign in to the console and check the model, region, connection details and access permissions for your order. Set up your SSH key, then follow the connection guide to connect for the first time. Verify the host identity before accepting it. Never post your private key, tokens or complete connection credentials in a public support request.

A successful connection doesn’t mean your project environment is ready. Before building, check the actual macOS and Xcode versions, command-line tools and project dependencies on your device, then validate the build pipeline with a small task. Manage orders and submit support tickets in the console. If a connection fails, note when it happened, the region, a redacted error message and the steps you’ve tried.

What if I need more storage?

When configuring your device, check the +1TB SSD and +2TB SSD add-ons. These expand storage beyond the base model; they’re not separate models and don’t change your chosen model’s chip or memory. Estimate how much space your code, dependencies, build caches, assets and artifacts need before deciding whether to upgrade.

Add-ons have separate daily, weekly, monthly and quarterly prices. Check the exact amount on the plans page and review your configuration before placing an order. If you run low on space, identify what’s using it and clear caches you can rebuild. Don’t delete project files or build artifacts until you’ve confirmed what they’re for.

Next step

Once you’ve checked the facts, configure the Mac that fits your workload.

Choose a base model, then select a region, rental term and any storage add-ons you need. Review your selected configuration in the order before submitting it.
